Thinking of the heart of a certain person with whom I have spent many years

She turned her back on her birthplace and came here, now already past fifty, and here I am, serving her, eating grilled fish

She looked upon me, thinking of me as her teacher, and asked, 'Would you compose a poem for me?'

Would you, teacher, who asked where your long-dead tomb lies, have a lonely shadow shifting across your shoulders? It is a sorrowful thing.

Singing of the heart to let go of her old home in Zushi

A wandering son, a strong man, also speaks of the grass and stars he carried with him from his birthplace, which one day will be

Close to a cerebral thrombosis, the headache begins

The tide of the coming headache is loud and noisy

Is this news that I am about to die?

O Romantic Society, will you truly have a long life?

This society whispers to my ears, which are filled with encouragement, a voice of letting go

To enter the hearts of others is indeed very presumptuous, is it not?

To meddle in the lives of others is called presumptuous, is it not?

My fingers, which wrote the text, now leave the keyboard

The headache continues, steadily

The headache approaches me, steadily

Throwing the net article away and leaving

It seems difficult to tidy up my surroundings

Trying to find a thread of meaning in my life, I take up the pen

Those things belonging to my parents are now unknown

This morning, I feel a new beginning

Thinking that if I give up, it will surely be easier

I jump up, determined not to be defeated by the morning sun

Thinking of the feelings of Akira's granddaughter today

Her grandparents were careless and abandoned, yet

She still goes to the forest of Rika, and I do not dislike her

I will now offer this song, my own, to Akira's granddaughter again

Do not rejoice in your bent heart, my long-held wish

Would that you live, surpassing all, and be glorious

Visiting the grave of my ancestors in Osaka, I poured water on the Kannon at Fussan-ji Temple. With a red lantern reading 'Sachi', I prayed

At Fussan-ji, I poured water on the Kannon and joined hands with it

What is happiness, when departure is so near?

At Kanshin-ji Temple, I spoke with the abbot, Ei-shima Ryuuei

Why do you love Kanshin-ji so much?

The watercolor red leaves I shared with my parents

I thank Ei-shima Abbot. I also thank the ones who accompanied me, Hara Kiyomi, Oshima Minoru, Mizuhono Miharu, and Kawai Yutaka. Truly, on this fine day, I would say this is a happy occasion.
